The Opportunity Hub is a settlement house in Spring Creek Towers (also known as Starrett City) in East New York, Brooklyn, home to over 15,000 residents.
We offer supportive services and resources for residents of all ages in the neighborhood and surrounding communities through youth development and education, wellbeing, and RISE (Resources for Independence, Success, and Empowerment), as well as The Opp Hub Farm, and the Spring Creek Sun newspaper.
Our team’s personal connection to the community makes us who we are. Around 70% of our staff are current or former residents of the neighborhoods and communities we serve. This deep-rooted connection allows us to actively listen to our neighbors and create programs that reflect their realities and aspirations.
