The Service Collective

TSC is the only Brooklyn-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth in our Brooklyn community and serving those most in need. Together with our 40+ local nonprofit partners, we create age appropriate, impactful volunteer programs for thousands of kids, teens, and families. 

Volunteering, especially for youth, is essential to the health and vitality of our communities and the nonprofits we serve. Kids of all ages do important work and gain crucial skills like self confidence, independence, and empathy. Studies have shown volunteering and community engagement can play a major role kids and teens mental health and wellbeing.

The critical funds raised on Giving Tuesday will help The Service Collective increase accessibility of our programs by expanding to more neighborhoods so it's easier for thousands more kids to get involved. We want to continue to keep our afternoon and weekend programs free of charge to anyone that wants to serve and work with more Brooklyn nonprofit partners that could benefit from the energy and ideas youth can offer.
