Hope Ignites New York

For more than 46 years, Boys Hope Girls Hope of New York has been a safe haven for families in Brooklyn. Rooted in the heart of Fort Greene and proud partners with Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School, we have walked alongside generations of young people, providing not only a rigorous education but also stability, encouragement, and the belief that they are capable of extraordinary things.

We recruit motivated scholars from middle schools throughout Brooklyn and across the boroughs, and they join our program as ninth graders. The boys live in our residence hall in Brooklyn, while both boys and girls participate in our Afterschool Academy. This program goes far beyond academics. Scholars receive individualized tutoring, financial literacy education, college writing support, and hands-on help completing their college applications. They attend professional development workshops, prepare for internships, and meet leaders from diverse industries who help them explore future careers. Every detail is designed to ensure they succeed in high school, college, and life.

The results speak for themselves. We are proud to say we have a 100 percent high school graduation rate, and nearly every one of our scholars goes on to college. Our program makes sure they graduate with little to no debt, fully prepared to launch fulfilling lives and careers.

When a child joins Boys Hope Girls Hope of New York, their entire family is uplifted. Parents know their child has a safe, structured environment to learn and grow. Families find partners who walk with them through every milestone, from the first day of high school to college graduation.

Our alumni are doctors, educators, business leaders, social workers, and artists. They carry the lessons they learned here into the world, and they always come back to give back to their community.

But we cannot do this work without you. To continue offering these life-changing opportunities, to expand the services we provide, and to purchase a building that will give our girls a home of their own, we need your support.
