Community Help in Park Slope, Inc. (CHiPS)

CHiPS was founded in 1971 as a soup kitchen open a few days a week. We’ve since grown to become a full service site for community meals and pantry services, as well as a shelter for pregnant women and women with children. 

Our food service programs distribute around 3,600 meals and 1,300 pantry bags each week.

Once in our care, mothers receive pre- and post-natal support services and assistance in their search for work and permanent housing for up to one year.

Our aim is to ameliorate food and housing insecurity in New York City. We couldn’t do what we do without your support!
