Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow

A better tomorrow starts with opportunity.

Founded in Sunset Park in 1983, Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow (OBT) helps young people and adults break the cycle of poverty and inequity through education, job training, and employment.

Rooted in Brooklyn and serving communities across New York City, we help participants earn their high school equivalency diplomas, strengthen their English language skills, and prepare for careers in healthcare, technology, and the skilled trades.

Our work goes beyond the classroom. Through career guidance, mental health support, paid internships, and stipends for food and transportation, we help participants overcome barriers and keep moving toward their goals.

Your generosity helps make these opportunities possible. Every gift supports New Yorkers as they build skills, pursue meaningful employment, and create stronger futures for themselves and their families.

Together, we can open more doors to a better tomorrow.
