MJR Love

MJR Love is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our mission is to foster the educational empowerment of genderful (LGBTQ+) youth and allies by providing student and teacher support, developing educational curricula, and offering development opportunities for teachers and others.

At MJR Love, we believe every young person deserves to learn in an environment where they are seen, affirmed, and celebrated. Genderful youth — those who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and beyond — too often navigate educational systems that were not built with them in mind. MJR Love exists to change that, one classroom, one curriculum, and one educator at a time.

We work at the intersection of identity, education, and community. Our programs are designed to meet the needs of students and the adults who support them, recognizing that true educational empowerment requires transformation at every level of the learning environment.

What We Do

Student Support — MJR Love creates direct pathways for genderful youth and their allies to access affirmation and resources within educational settings. We work to ensure that students feel safe, valued, and supported throughout their academic journeys.

Teacher Support & Professional Development — Educators are on the front lines of creating inclusive classrooms, and they deserve robust support to do that work well. MJR Love offers professional development opportunities, coaching, and community for teachers who are committed to showing up fully for all of their students.

Curriculum Development — We develop and refine educational curricula that reflect the full spectrum of human identity and experience. Our materials are grounded in both pedagogical best practices and the lived realities of genderful youth and their communities.

Community & Ally Engagement — We recognize that allies — students, families, educators, and community members — play a vital role in building affirming environments. MJR Love actively cultivates ally engagement as a core part of our educational model.

Programs

MJR Love currently anchors its work through Teach Fabulous!, a flagship program that brings professional development and curricular support directly to teachers. Looking ahead, MJR Love is developing Miss Major Middle, a genderful, tuition-free middle school set to open in Brooklyn in Fall 2027 — a bold, community-rooted response to the need for affirmatively inclusive educational spaces.

MJR Love is rooted in the belief that education is liberation. We are committed to building an organization that is financially sustainable, community-accountable, and uncompromising in its vision for a world where genderful youth thrive — not in spite of who they are, but because of it.
