Hope For Desperate Hearts

A nonprofit organization

Hope For Desperate Hearts (HFDH) has been working to improve the quality of lives for the African immigrants in New York City since 2017, regardless of religion, country of origin, or ethnic background. We partner with African Churches, Mosques, and associations to support the immigrants from Africa living throughout NYC.

Backpacks for Children: We provide backpacks to the African children before the school year begins.

Holiday Gifts: We collect and distribute toys to make the holidays a little brighter for the African children in New York.

Food Distribution: We coordinate with local organizations and corporations to support the African community in New York with groceries.

Winter Coat Drive: We help our community to stay warm during winter through our coat drive for the African community, especially for new immigrants.

Cultural Exchange: We share African culture with NYC students during school visits, and with all New Yorkers during community social events, in partnership with One Week in Africa.

In New York, Hope For Desperate Hearts (HFDH) is a registered 501(c)(3), working for the wellbeing of the African community; a Bridge between New York Social Services and the African community.

In Burkina Faso/ West Africa, HFDH is working to improve the living conditions of disadvantaged populations.
