Every student deserves to walk into the first day of school feeling ready.

For Hope Ignites New York scholars, back-to-school means more than new notebooks and backpacks. It means beginning another year of working toward college, building confidence, discovering new possibilities, and preparing for the future they are working hard to create.

At our home in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, we provide academically motivated young people from under-resourced families with a home, an education, and a future. Our scholars receive academic support, mentoring, college and career preparation, enrichment opportunities, and a community of adults committed to seeing them succeed.

Through our Open Doors, Open Hearts Back-to-School Campaign, we are raising $10,000 to help ensure our scholars begin the school year with the supplies, resources, transportation, educational experiences, and support they need to thrive.

Your gift can put something tangible into the hands of a scholar. A backpack ready for the first day. School supplies for the semester. An OmniCard to reach an educational opportunity. Materials for tutoring and academic enrichment. Resources that help a young person prepare for college and a career.
