Chaospace

Chaospace is a New York City–based nonprofit that supports Asian and emerging artists across disciplines through performances, collaborations, and community programs. Through concerts, workshops, and other artist-led events, Chaospace creates opportunities for artists to experiment, develop new work, connect with one another, and reach new audiences. Its programming brings together different artistic practices and perspectives, with an interdisciplinary focus on collaboration, conversation, and creative exchange.

Chaospace’s curatorial programs—Controlled Chaotic, DramaEtMusica, New Music Workshop, and Chaospace Records—bring together composers, improvisers, and artists working across disciplines. The programs create room for artists to experiment with different ways of making and presenting work, from electroacoustic music and real-time composition to interactive media, experimental theater, spatial sound, and participatory performance. Many of these projects bring together technology, movement, sound, and physical space, inviting audiences to experience music and performance in ways that go beyond the traditional concert setting.

Alongside performances and recordings, Chaospace supports exchange through artist-led discussions, workshops, and collaborations with organizations and communities in New York and beyond. These activities create opportunities for artists and audiences to meet, share ideas, and develop new work together.
